Peer Review Process

Agricultural Power Journal (APJ) applies a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

1. Initial Screening
   All submitted manuscripts are first screened by the Editor for compliance with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, formatting requirements, and basic academic standards. Manuscripts may also be checked for plagiarism and potential copyright issues.

2. Editorial Assessment
   The Editor assesses the manuscript for relevance, originality, academic quality, and suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements or fall outside its scope may be rejected at this stage. Authors may be asked to make preliminary revisions before peer review.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review
   Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Under the double-blind review system, the identities of the authors are not disclosed to the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors.

4. Review Criteria
   Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, relevance, methodology, scientific rigor, clarity, significance of findings, conclusions, and the quality and adequacy of references. Reviewers may recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection.

5. Revision and Editorial Decision
   Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further assessment when necessary. The Editor-in-Chief considers the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the manuscript before making a final decision.

6. Final Decision
   Editorial decisions may include accept, accept with revisions, revise and resubmit, or reject. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.

7. Review Management
   The submission, peer review, revision, and editorial decision processes are conducted through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
