Smart Yields in Systems, Technology, Engineering, and Modeling (SYSTEM) uses Creative Commons copyright licenses to balance the traditional “all rights reserved” framework of copyright law. This licensing system provides a simple and standardized way for authors—from individual researchers to institutions—to grant permissions for the use of their scholarly work.

Authors who publish with SYSTEM retain the copyright of their work and grant SYSTEM the right of first publication. The published work is simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

Under the following terms:
