AI Use in Manuscript Preparation

Structural Insights in Planning and Infrastructure Leadership (SIPIL) permits authors to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for language editing, grammar checking, translation, and other editorial assistance. AI tools must not replace the authors’ intellectual contribution, judgment, or responsibility for the manuscript.

Authors must review and verify all AI-assisted content for accuracy, originality, and compliance with research integrity and publication ethics. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

If AI is used to generate or substantially modify manuscript content, authors should disclose the use of AI and its purpose in the manuscript. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and final content of their submissions.
