AI Use in Manuscript Preparation

Smart International Management Journal (SIMJ) permits the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support manuscript preparation, including language improvement, grammar checking, translation, and other editorial assistance. However, AI use must not replace the authors’ intellectual contribution, responsibility, or accountability for the manuscript.

Authors are required to carefully review and verify all AI-assisted content to ensure its accuracy, originality, and compliance with research integrity, publication ethics, and scholarly standards. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or be considered responsible for any part of the manuscript.

When AI tools are used to generate or substantially modify manuscript content, authors should disclose their use in the manuscript and clearly state the purpose of such use. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and final content of manuscripts submitted to and published by SIMJ.
